Another book review of The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, it is the second book, Catching Fire. Finally I have finished reading both of them. Phew!
In the 75th hunger games, which is the third Quarter Quell, President Snow announces that the participants of the 75th hunger games are those who won at another hunger games and still alive. This announcement makes the only winners from District 12, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, have to fight in the arena for the second time.
Katniss and Haymitch, their mentor, agree to keep Peeta safe though saving Peeta means killing Katniss. In the arena, they meet another 22 winners, 2 from each district. They make a team with Mags and Finnick Odair from District 4, Wiress and Beetee from District 3, and Johanna Mason from District 7.
While they are fighting in the arena, many districts start the rebellion against Capitol. Mockingjay, the symbol of rebellion, are everywhere. And Katniss begins to think that District 13 has not gone, at all.
That was a short synopsis of Catching Fire. This book is as terrific as The Hunger Games! Must read 🙂
